TikToker Punished for Filming Fiery Chaos After Drone Attack
A 20-year-old Russian blogger was slapped with a 30,000 ruble fine (375 USD) for filming a blazing oil depot after a drone strike, reportedly under the influence of alcohol.
The Adler District Court of Sochi fined 20-year-old blogger Karina Oshchurkova 30,000 rubles for breaking rules during a "state of heightened alert".
On August 3rd, she posted a social media video showing the aftermath of a drone attack on an oil depot. She blamed her actions on being drunk, says the court report.
Alongside Oshchurkova, two friends who appeared in the video were also detained by authorities and made to apologize on camera. Oshchurkova claimed the video aimed to showcase the oil depot fire on TikTok. One of the group members mentioned they traveled to Sochi seeking employment.
