Do not sell my information
Our Position on This Requirement
We are required by California law (specifically the California Consumer Privacy Act or CCPA) to provide a mechanism for California residents to opt out of the so-called "sale" of their personal information.
While we comply with this law under protest, we want to be transparent about our position:
We fundamentally disagree with the overreaching and burdensome regulations imposed by California (CCPA), the European Union (GDPR), and similar regimes. These laws are vague, politicized, and drafted in a way that confuses both consumers and businesses. The idea that everyday digital analytics or advertising practices amount to the "sale" of personal data is, in our opinion, a gross mischaracterization of how the internet actually works.
Nonetheless, to avoid legal risk and maintain the ability to serve users in jurisdictions with these requirements, we are providing this opt-out option.
We encourage you to consider how these regulations may limit innovation, restrict free enterprise, and increase costs for everyone involved.
